We are OUT!

Helo there!
This is just to keep everyone updated on the recent activity of ethos!'.

We are proud to inform everyone that EtHoS! were invited to handle a drama workshop in Londang Matriculation College (Melaka). 12 Facilitators were sent there to help the students with their drama class.

The crew started the journey on Friday night(19th September 2008), and arrived the Matriculation at about 2am. All the facilitators were 'forced' to wake up early and be at the hall at about 7.30am. After briefing session with the head faci, AD, the facilitators waited for the 197 students and started the workshop at 9.30am.

It was a great challenge for everyone, as everyone was fasting. Together with the students, the facilitators have to do lots of things.. dance, jump, act, swim, cry, make funny faces, u name it.
As everyone was tired and 'dying' out of thirst, they end the workshop a bit earlier than the tentative, at about 2.00pm.

It was a great experience for all the facilitators. I believe that not only the students but the facilitators also learned lots of things that day. We are here proud to tell everyone that we are now ready to come out and serve the community! If there is anything that EtHoS! can do to help, please do come to us. We are willing to help!!!!!

"To serve, to HELP, and to enrich is what EtHoS! is all about!"
Till then, take care and be good everyone!

Another Tadarus Al-Quran Update..

Salam again to all,
It looks like tomorrow's meeting won't be in Dedaru 2. Intead, Mr. Faiez wants to have it in room M310.

It will still start at 12.30pm. If you are not able to bring your own Quran, take the ones from the surau.

I hope you all keep updated.
See you there tomorrow!

Tadarus A-Quran Updates - Change of Venue..

Salam everyone,

Alhamdulillah, the Tadarus Al-Quran program has been going on despite the lack of participants. The most important thing is that it's alive and running.

There is a change regarding the men's venue. Instead of the surau, En. Faeiz has suggested that we do it in Dedaru 2. This is so that we'll have more time to read on further and it won't be crowded.

It will still start at the same time; 12.30pm but will end a bit later; around 1.45pm. For those who are free during those times, please do come and join us.

A sincere WISH!

EtHoS! sincerely wants to greet everyone a very ' SEMOGA BERJAYA' wishes since this week we are cramped with tests, assignments and other obligations.

I'll pray to GOD the Almighty for our success in whatever ahead us, waiting to chop our head, figuratively of course.

And the Ramadhan has just begun, we're still in the mood of it, cherish the month and may we get the best out of it.

Assalamualaikum.

Tadarus Al-Quran Has Taken Off!

Salam to all,
Alhamdulillah, it is our pleasure to inform you that the Tadarus Al-Quran program has taken it's first step yesterday and it will keep going for the rest of the weekdays.

There were some difficulties faced yesterday. For the women, some had a hard time in finding the venue. To make it easier, we'll put signs in the library to lead you to the location of the program.

The venue for the women's halaqah is in the Children's Library, on the second level, above the first level, above the ground floor. As you all know, there are two staircases that lead to the next floor. For the ones leading up to the second floor, take the one on right. The Children's Library is the end of that side.

For the men, there might be a change in venue. It gets to crowded after Zohor prayer. However, we will still meet at the Men's Surau in block U.

Please do come. Don't be ashamed that you are not able to read so smoothly, we're here to help. In fact, one of the aims of this program is to improve your reading. And again, it is open to EVERYONE. Even INTEC students. Do inform your friends.

Synopsis:
When a teenage girl is faced with an unexpected pregnancy, she enlists the aid of her best friend in finding the unborn child a suitable home in this coming-of-age comedy drama from Thank You for Smoking director Jason Reitman. Juno (Ellen Page) may seem wise beyond her years, but after sleeping with classmate Bleeker (Michael Cera), the pregnant teen quickly realizes how little she really knows about life. Thankfully, Juno has been blessed with parents (J.K. Simmons and Allison Janney) who trust their daughter's judgment, and a best friend named Leah (Olivia Thirlby), who's always willing to help out in a pinch. With a little help from Leah, Juno soon comes into contact with Mark (Jason Bateman) and Vanessa (Jennifer Garner) -- an affluent suburban couple who have been unable to conceive a child of their own. Mark and Vanessa seem like they would make great parents, and are eager to adopt Juno's unborn child. Now, as adolescent Juno is faced with a series of very adult decisions, she will draw on the support of her family and friends in order to discover who she truly is, and discover that one bad choice can have a lifetime of consequences.
